Chungha “I considered retiring from the entertainment industry”

She reveals that she experienced confusion about her identity and faced burnout. Anticipation is rising for the broadcast where Chungha’s retirement dilemma will be revealed.

The March 6th broadcast of MBC’s “Radio Star” will feature Yoon Do-hyun, Lyn, Chungha and Park We.

Singer Chungha visits “Radio Star” after 1 year and 8 months with her new song “EENIE MEENIE”. She revealed, “I received calls from 30 places after ending the contract with my previous agency.” Curiosity arises about her reason for choosing the agency represented by Jay Park. Expectations are high as her new song “EENIE MEENIE”, which brings a different vibe from her previous music, will also be revealed for the first time.

Chungha drew attention for sharing that she contemplated retirement before releasing this time’s album. Despite the success of each album such as “Gotta Go” and “Roller Coaster”, she lost her identity due to the disappearance of stages caused by COVID-19 and undergoing too many transformations. Chungha expressed, “I released over 100 solo songs in 7 years… So, I think burnout found its way to me.”

She also shared stories such as the behind-the-scenes of the choreography for “Gotta Go”, which she made with Lachica, her special affection for the dance team, and the story of clearing her family’s debt and buying house and car for her mother after “Gotta Go” became a hit.
