Jean Edmund Dujardin, the first French actor to win the Academy Award for Best Actor for the 2011 film “Artist,” is Chun Woo-hee’s idol. The Korean actress even sent him Instagram DMs to express her admiration for him.
In 2017, Jean Dujardin sent a message to Chun Woo-hee’s Instagram DM, saying, “You are an amazing activity!” When Chun Woo-hee saw the message and checked it to see that it was a joke, she was surprised to see that it was sent by the real Jean Edmund Dujardin’s official account. Jean Edmund Dujardin reportedly sent this message to Chun Woo-hee after watching the films “The Wailing” and “Love, Lies” which she starred in and were released at the time.
In response, Chun wrote back to Jean Dujardin, “I’m so surprised, amazed and grateful. I feel like I’m flying. I think it’s a gift to encourage me to work harder without getting obnoxious.” She expressed his feelings and also recommended her representative movie, “Han Gong-ju,” to him.
