Choo Ja-hyun mentions her husband Yu Xiaoguang’s private life “He kisses acquaintances on the cheek”
Actor Choo Ja-hyun revealed her trust in her husband
On March 18th, Newsen reported their interview with Choo Ja-hyun, who is gearing up for the release of the movie “While You Were Sleeping” on March 20th.
Choo Ja-hyun said, “In my 20s and 30s, I didn’t think about doing melodramas. At that time, I was more focused on genre works because I wanted to act well. When I acted in a foreign language with foreign actors in China, I could feel emotions. Later, I was curious about how much I could express when doing melodramatic acting with actors of the same nationality.”
She confessed, “I wasn’t someone who believed in love. I was 38 years old when I registered my marriage with Xiaoguang. I began to believe in love when I thought I should get married to my husband. I wanted to show the emotions of my 40s through acting. If the script for ‘While You Were Sleeping’ had ended in dating, I wouldn’t have been interested. It’s a melodrama about a married couple, so I decided to appear although the appearance fee is low.”
Choo Ja-hyun and Yu Xiaoguang gained great popularity as a devoted couple on SBS’s “Same Bed, Different Dreams”, but Yu Xiaoguang was embroiled in rumors of infidelity when a video of him seating another woman on his lap in a car was released.
At the time, Yu Xiaoguang’s side explained, “She’s just a friend, and it isn’t an inappropriate relationship.” Choo Ja-hyun also expressed a similar stance.
Choo Ja-hyun said, “When you go through a lot of ups and downs, there are times when your mental state deteriorates unknowingly. Everyone can’t live soberly all the time. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. I felt sorry for my husband. In a way, I’m his senior in the entertainment industry. Since my husband comes from a sports background, he might not be aware of the seriousness of the situation.”
She continued, “My husband really likes people and is very affectionate. When he drinks, he kisses acquaintances on the cheek. I’m mentally strong, but my husband has a gentle personality. I was very surprised because he received so many misunderstandings. As an older sister who is two years older, I told him, ‘That’s just life.’ Going through such experiences can help you learn about life and mature. It also seems like a good turning point for him to become a good father and a middle-aged man.”
Yu Xiaoguang watched Choo Ja-hyun’s new movie in advance. Choo Ja-hyun said he did not know what kind of work she was filming and shed a lot of tears while watching. Choo Ja-hyun explained, “I don’t talk much about what kind of work I’m appearing in to my husband and the people around me. I have an image of being confident and unbreakable. Of course, I do have that personality, but when it comes to work, I’m more afraid than I thought. If I don’t meet my expectations, I find it difficult to talk about it with others.“
