Previously, after Choi Yena unveiled her upcoming album and title to be “Hate Rodrigo”, she faced accusations of using Olivia Rodrigo as a PR Stunt.

However, Choi Yena’s agency has released an official statement, which explains that “Hate Rodrigo” aims to express a “cute jealousy” towards people who are more successful. The song also expresses Yena’s love towards Olivia Rodrigo – who she admires and envies, the company said.
