On August 17th, Choi Min-sik appeared as a guest on MBC’s “Son Seok-hee’s Questions”.
While talking with Choi Min-sik about the movie “Exhuma”, Son Seok-hee said, “You know Kim Go-eun, right? She appeared on ‘Newsroom’ when I hosted the show. I told her that I like her friendly face without much makeup”.
He continued, “The wording was actually a little different, but after making that comment, I got scolded by my juniors at JTBC for a long time. ‘How could you talk to her like talking to an ordinary person?’… They told me that it was disrespectful to say that to an actress.”
Choi Min sik commented, “I think you spoke well to a senior actor. It actually sounds like a compliment to me”. Recalling his first meeting with Scarlett Johansson, who wore jeans and a white t-shirt, the actor said, “She looked like a petite student, but when she stood in front of the camera, it was like magic happened. Kim Go-eun seems to have a similar vibe”, adding “As an actress, self-confidence and ability are things that can be showcased on stage or in front of the camera.”
Hearing that, Son Seok-hee said, “I won’t feel sorry”, but suddenly made an absurd confession, saying “In fact, this is what I told Kim Go-eun, ‘I think you are not much different from our staff’”.
