Choi Hyun Seok Ranked 5th “The ‘Culinary Class Wars’ Chef Who Took No.1 Spot in Topicality Is Surprisingly ‘This Person'”

With the rising popularity of Netflix’s cooking survival show "Culinary Class Wars", attention has turned to the restaurant and the chef who took the top spot in topicality

Catch Table, a domestic restaurant reservation app, released a trend report analyzing data on the chefs who appeared on “Culinary Class Wars“. The report featured the rankings of the most searched restaurants and the reservation standings following the show.

In the immediate aftermath of the show’s airing, Chef Choi Hyun Seok’s restaurant “Choi Dot” ranked 5th in Catch Table’s popular searches. In 4th place was Chef Yoon Nam No (Cooking Maniac)’s restaurant “Deepin”, 3rd was Chef Kang Seung Won (Triple Star)’s “Trid”, and 2nd was Chef Lim Tae Hoon (Self-Made Chef)’s “Doryang”.

The top spot went to Chef Choi Kang Rok’s restaurant “Neo”.

According to Catch Table, the number of searches and reservations for the featured chefs’ restaurants surged following the show’s broadcast. Search volumes for these restaurants increased by 74 times compared to the previous week, while the number of saved restaurants skyrocketed by 1884% during the same period. The restaurant with the highest booking increase saw a surge of 4937.5%. On average, reservations for the featured chefs’ restaurants grew by about 148%.

Among the “black spoon” chefs, Yoon Nam No’s “Deepin Oksu” saw the highest reservation increase, followed by Chef Park Jae Hyun’s “Shawnino” and Chef David Lee’s “Guunmong”.

Among the “white spoon” chefs, Choi Hyun Seok’s “Choi. Choi Dot” and “Central Reducer” took 1st and 2nd place, respectively. Chef Yeo Kyung Rae’s “Hong Bo Gak” and Chef Nam Jeong Seok’s “Local Eat” also garnered significant popularity.
