EXO members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin collectively known as CBX have issued a strong rebuttal to a statement released by SM Entertainment on October 29.
Their agency, INB100, released an official position on October 30 in response to SM’s claims, emphasizing that CBX remains committed to paying 10% of their individual activity revenue and is awaiting the conclusion of ongoing legal procedures to carry out this agreement.

The statement read: “CBX has never wavered in their intent to pay the agreed-upon 10%. As legal proceedings are currently underway, we plan to follow through with the agreement as soon as the matter is resolved.”
INB100 stressed that all negotiations were based on the premise of EXO‘s full-group activities. “CBX clearly expressed their willingness to honor the existing agreement, have been in direct communication with other members, and have continuously worked to remain part of the team,” the agency stated.
Addressing SM’s claim about a rejection of proposed terms during mediation, INB100 clarified, “CBX had already communicated their willingness to pay 10% of personal revenue to SM around the October 2 mediation date and were awaiting a final response. However, the amount suggested by the mediator on that day was an arbitrary calculation unrelated to the parties’ mutual agreement. Both sides clearly stated during the session that they could not accept this figure. When the amount was later formally delivered, both parties submitted objections on October 16. This is a standard procedure and not a sign of CBX refusing to settle.”

CBX also expressed sincere apologies to fans, stating, “We deeply regret any confusion or concern caused during this legal dispute with SM.”
They concluded with a firm message: “CBX will continue to faithfully fulfill the existing agreement, and we will do our utmost to restore trust with the members and reach an amicable resolution with SM Entertainment.”
This ongoing conflict reflects larger tensions between K-pop idols and agencies regarding contract transparency, revenue sharing, and group cohesion amid solo ventures. Fans now await how the next legal phase and internal dynamics will unfold within EXO.
