In the video, the TOP 8 chefs from “Culinary Class War” answered questions from viewers’ comments.
During the episode, Jung Ji-sun responded to a comment saying, “Chef Jung Ji-sun has a great mindset. I want to learn from her.” She confessed, “To be honest, I used to receive a lot of hate before this show. It was really upsetting that people didn’t see me as a chef, but thanks to ‘Culinary Class War‘, I think I’ve been able to break away from that image a little.”
In response to another comment that said, “It was really impressive to see only Chef Jung Ji-sun looking at the leftover food,” she explained, “It’s just a habit of mine. It’s not my taste that matters; the customers’ tastes are what’s important, so I always check the leftover food to make judgments.”
Previously, on her YouTube channel “Jung Ji-sun’s Knifeisma”, she also addressed some absurd hate comments.
Jung Ji-sun gained attention on Netflix’s original variety show “Culinary Class War” by presenting her signature dish, “Siraegi Bath” (a Chinese-style dessert made from dried radish greens). However, shortly after the dish was revealed, some people started leaving malicious comments, accusing her of making the production team clean up the sugar water left over from the dish.
In response to a netizen’s question, “Who cleaned that up?” Chef Jung replied, “I cleaned it. After finishing the cooking, I had some spare time. People may think it’s hard, but it’s really not. Once it hardens, you just break it, and that’s it. There’s no need to dissolve it in the sink. Just tap it on the floor, it breaks, and it cleans up easily.” Her firm explanation caught people’s attention.
