Cha Eun-woo, Ahn Bo-hyun, Kim Soo-hyun Compete For No.1 In The Rating War

Cha Eun-woo, Kim Soo-hyun, and Ahn Bo-hyun competed for the throne of weekend dramas

On March 10th, KBS 2TV’s epic drama “Goryeo-Khitan War” ended with its 31st episode. The final episode had a viewer rating of 13.8% (Nilson Korea nationwide), breaking its own highest viewer rating record and topping all programs aired at the same time.

The 16th was the first Saturday after the departure of “Goryeo-Khitan War,” which boasted a solid fixed audience base. MBC Friday-Saturday drama “Wonderful World,” SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Flex X Cop” and cable channel tvN Saturday-Sunday drama “Queen of Tears” faced off for the vacancy.

Of course, they all have different themes and number of episodes. However, since they are grouped into weekend dramas, these dramas cannot avoid being competitive for ratings. This is especially true as the leading actors are Cha Eun-woo, Ahn Bo-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun.

The sixth episode of “Wonderful World,” which aired on March 16th, recorded 7.3% nationwide rating and 8.6% for the highest rating. It has been on a gradual rise since the first episode started with 5.3% on the 1st.

The 14th episode of “Flex X Cop,” which aired on the same day, recorded an average of 9.8% nationwide rating, 10.6% in the Seoul metropolitan area, 13.6% for the highest rating. As it is running toward the end of the story with 16 episodes, the expectations for the next episodes are high.

Lastly, in the third episode of “Queen of Tears,” the rating has reached a new high of 9.6% on average and 11.3% on a national scale. The figure has risen 5.9% from 3.7% in the first episode and 0.9% from 8.7% in the second episode.
