On October 29, the agency INB100 released a formal position, stating: “We sincerely apologize for the delay in addressing the situation regarding EXO’s full-group activities, which has caused confusion and concern among fans.” The agency emphasized that both INB100 and CBX remain committed to EXO’s full-member promotions and have made every effort to move toward that goal.

According to the statement, the group began reconciliation talks with SM Entertainment on July 9, 2025, during which both parties expressed willingness to cooperate. On September 10, they shared specific terms and entered practical discussions. Following the second mediation session on October 2, CBX reportedly accepted all of SM’s conditions for a potential year-end full-group comeback.

To prioritize group activities, the trio had cleared their personal schedules for December and awaited SM’s final response through legal representatives. However, they were later informed that a fan meeting and album release would proceed without their involvement. “We apologize for the delay in our response. We needed time to understand SM’s stance amid this unexpected situation,” the agency explained.

CBX’s side added, “Our fans’ sincerity has always meant everything to us, and our desire for EXO’s complete lineup led us to pursue reconciliation. We are currently working to finalize an agreement as soon as possible.” They concluded by thanking fans for their patience and support, promising to continue giving their all for a positive outcome.

CBX EXO fan meeting absence

Meanwhile, legal reports indicate that CBX previously lost several lawsuits against SM Entertainment regarding unfair contract terms and lack of financial transparency.

As of now, EXO’s upcoming fan meeting and new album will feature the six remaining members Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay without Chen, Baekhyun, or Xiumin. Despite the ongoing challenges, fans remain hopeful for a full EXO reunion in the future.
