Big Hit Music introduced, “With the strong trend of carols during the year-end in many countries, ‘Spring Day’ rose to the top, surpassing Mariah Carey’s mega-hit ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.'”

‘Spring Day’ is the title track of BTS’s 2017 album ‘You Never Walk Alone.’ It is an alternative hip-hop song that combines rock sensibility and electronic sounds, conveying a message of not losing hope while waiting for the reunion with a distant friend. RM and Suga participated in composing the song.

With the enlistment of Jimin and Jungkook on December 12th, all BTS members entered their military hiatus. Big Hit Music explained that the anticipation of ARMYs waiting for BTS’s activities to resume in 2025 contributed to the rise of “Spring Day” on the charts.

The lyrics of “Spring Day” express a poignant longing, as seen in lines like “I miss you, I miss you / How much longer do I have to wait / How many more nights do I have to stay up / To see you, to see you.”

“Spring Day” also unexpectedly secured the top spot on the ‘Daily Digital Single Ranking’ announced by the Japanese Oricon chart on December 13.
