BTS’s own YouTube channel surpasses the HYBE’s joint channel in number of subscribers: many fans want to unsubscribe the company’s channel for one reason

Recently, BTS’s youtube channel BANGTANGTV has officially surpassed HYBE LABELS in terms of subscribers.

In an era when Korean music is rapidly getting more popular around the world, most K-pop groups have their own YouTube channels to promote their songs. This is also a means for Korean stars to make more money while also interacting and connecting with their followers.

BTS, BLACKPINK, EXO, TWICE, NCT, and other famous names in the Korean entertainment industry have all launched their own YouTube channels.

Setting up YouTube channels is becoming a trend of Kpop groups

With their worldwide popularity, BTS‘ YouTube channel BANGTANGTV, which has over 1.6 thousand videos, swiftly became the highest-earning Kpop star channel today. The channel’s content consists primarily of videos centered on BTS, ranging from performances to behind-the-scenes footage, and it has amassed millions of views.

As the group with the largest number of fans today, the fact that the boys’ YouTube channel becomes popular is not unexpected by netizens.

Recently, the BANGTANGTV channel also excelled in surpassing the subscribers of HYBE LABELS – the YouTube channel of all HYBE artists including BTS.  Specifically, the boys’ YouTube channel has reached 64.5 million subscribers while the company’s channel has only reached 64.4 million.

This is, however, predictable. The majority of internet users provide the same explanation. Most internet users believe the corporation has only previously posted videos regarding BTS, therefore it should be seen by a big number of BTS fans.

However, because the firm has many new artists, the videos on the channel now feature a wide range of content, making it hard for BTS fans to keep up with their idols’ own activities. Furthermore, the fact that BTS has its own YouTube channel drives most fans to subscribe to the boys’ channel. The only reason the company’s YouTube account can still maintain track of BTS’s fandom is because the group’s music videos are still posted there.

Some netizens’ comments:

  • It’s been a while since I’ve unsubscribed from HYBE’s because I often receive notifications about other groups’ videos.
  • I really want to unsubscribe from HYBE’s channel.  I wish BTS would post their MVs on BANGTANGTV.
  • It would be great if BTS posted new MVs on BANGTANGTV
  • I don’t have the need to watch videos of groups other than BTS so it’s annoying to subscribe to HYBE’s channel.
