BTS’s Jungkook Unveils Preview For First Solo Album “GOLDEN”

BTS’s Jungkook released a portion of the music from his first solo album

At 12 AM on October 31st, Jungkook posted the “GOLDEN PREVIEW” video, where you can listen to highlights of the entire full album “GOLDEN”, through BTS’s official SNS.

In the video, which starts with Jungkook walking into an empty warehouse, he stops quietly with the first track “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” as the background music. In “Closer to You”, gentle vocals are added on top of low synthesizers and bass.

A part of the title track “Standing Next to You” was unveiled after the hit song “Seven (feat. Latto)”. The title track reinterprets the old-school sound of the disco punk genre in a modern way. In the video, Jungkook lightly grooves to the rhythm, increasing anticipation for his performance as he moves around the standing microphone.

The song “Yes or No”, in which British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran participated in the songwriting, features Ed Sheeran’s distinctive melody and guitar playing. The sixth track “Please Don’t Change” (DJ Snake) is an electronic dance pop song with a spacious synth sound.

“Hate You” is a pop ballad expressing deep emotions with the lo-fi texture of piano playing and Jungkook’s voice alone. “Somebody” combines the dull bass and Jungkook’s poignant melody against a neon sign background.

“Too Sad to Dance” is an acoustic pop song composed of guitar and keyboard. It conveys the sad emotions with a composed voice. In the preview of “Shot Glass of Tears”, it ends with Jungkook walking towards a space with the word “GOLDEN” written on it, accompanied by confetti.

Meanwhile, Jungkook will simultaneously release “GOLDEN” worldwide at 1 PM on November 3rd, featuring a total of 11 tracks inspired by Jungkook’s “golden moments”.
