The controversy erupted on October 20th when Allkpop reported on two Korean netizens’ posts that scrutinized BTS Jungkook’s activity on TikTok. 

The first post accused the idol of liking a videos deemed inappropriate, potentially risking his image as a male idol. The second post raised suspicions that Jungkook was actively approaching attractive women on TikTok by liking their content.

The writer of the post openly criticized Jungkook, “I don’t care if you date, get tattoos, or smoke, because you’re already an adult. But actively approaching women on the internet is really hard to accept. Following regular accounts is fine, but following the accounts of women who dress provocatively is not.

Netizens, as expected, had a range of reactions to this. Some advise Jungkook to be more cautious about his online activity. However, fans rallied to Jungkook’s defense, arguing that the videos in question were not explicit enough to warrant criticism.
