BTS’s Jungkook gifted ARMY with a “golden” time
BTS’s Jungkook held the fan showcase “Jung Kook ‘GOLDEN’ Live On Stage” at Jangchung Arena, Jung-gu, Seoul at 8 PM on Nov 20th. This showcase, celebrating the release of his solo album “GOLDEN”, featured performances of all the songs in the album, creating unforgettable memories with 2,800 fans.
Starting the showcase with the title track “Standing Next to You” and b-side track “Yes or No”, Jungkook greeted the filled audience, “(This showcase) is a place and space prepared solely for ARMY. I prepared with joy at the thought of being able to meet ARMY in person and show you my performances. Although it’s my first time doing a long show alone, I’ll do my best since you all are watching.” Fans enthusiastically supported Jungkook from the first song, shaking their lightsticks and chanting his name.
Jungkook unveiled the first-ever performances of the solo album’s tracks “Somebody”, “Hate You”, “Shot Glass of Tears” and “Too Sad To Dance”. He then performed “Closer to You (feat. Major Lazer)”, “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)”, “Please Don’t Change (feat. DJ Snake)” and “Seven (feat. Latto)”. He captivated the audience with irresistible live vocals and performances, leading to cheers and sing-alongs.
For the encore, Jungkook presented BTS’s “Magic Shop”. He expressed his emotions, “I’m happy to be able to release ‘GOLDEN’ and sing in front of everyone. I think I was able to become a better person after meeting you. I’m always thankful, and I love you. ARMY is my life. I hope you won’t forget that I’ll be with you anytime, anywhere.“
RM, who attended the show, conveyed a supportive message, “You’re really cool and I’m proud of you. Even though you’re the youngest member, I always learn from watching you.” This message confirmed their strong friendship.
Jungkook adorned the finale of the showcase by performing his self-composed song “Still With You” released in 2020. Throughout the approximately two-hour show, Jungkook delivered 12 songs, creating a fan showcase that felt like a concert. Even after Jungkook exited, the audience responded with endless applause.
This fan showcase showcased Jungkook’s meticulous care for fans. Jungkook set up a hexagon-shaped stage in the center of the venue to communicate as closely as possible with the audience. Additionally, he gifted disposable film cameras to all attending fans, creating a fan showcase filled with shining fan love.
For fans who could not attend the event in person, a live broadcast was simultaneously held through the global fandom life platform Weverse. Fans from 224 countries/regions worldwide watched the fan showcase, with a maximum simultaneous viewer count of 1,159,460.
