On the August 20th broadcast of “Run! Jin”, Jin visited his alma mater Bosung High School. During the visit, he engaged in various entertaining challenges with the students, bringing laughter and joy.
Dressed in a school uniform and transforming into an innocent handsome guy, Jin humorously remarked, “During my school days, I was a so-called nerd. I was a loser. I never thought I’d be back as a superstar.” When Jin entered the school with a first-love-like appearance, the younger male students cheered enthusiastically, shouting “You’re so handsome!” and “I love you!” Jin quickly won over the students and even had a heartwarming surprise reunion with his former homeroom teacher at the school’s snack bar.
During the subsequent challenges with the students, Jin’s variety show flair shone brightly. He attempted to persuade the students to give up a physically demanding challenge by offering to buy them pizza and playfully commented “BTS is doing well” when he was slower than an ARMY (BTS’s fandom name) student in recognizing BTS’s songs, which elicited big laughs. He also uplifted the atmosphere with an arm wrestling match and seamlessly blended in with the students by showcasing the Breakfall techniques he learned during his school days.
The preview released at the end of Episode 2 revealed Jin as a flustered “PC Bang part-timer” overwhelmed by a rush of food orders and children, sparking curiosity for the next episode. “Run! Jin” airs every Tuesday at 9 PM on BTS’s YouTube channel and is available on the global superfan platform Weverse an hour later.
