BTS’s Jin Secretly Paid For “The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island” Team’s Gathering

In a recent telephone interview with Sports Seoul on August 19th, PD Kim Myung-jin “The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island” shared, “Jin must be very busy, but he voluntarily participated in our gathering after filming. He also paid for the meal secretly”.

The PD complimented Jin, “He was always busy filming advertisements and appearing on broadcasts, so he slept only 2-3 hours on the filming day. Jin said he had been working without a day off because there were many things he wanted to show his fans. Still, he did well without complaining of exhaustion”.

PD Kim continued, “I felt pressured by the fact that Jin is a world star. But he’s very pure and has a good personality”, adding “Our program is set on a deserted island to minimize directing and pursue realism, so there were many unpredictable situations. However, Jin always did his best without complaining about anything. It rained a lot during the shoot, but I saw him filming in the rain without hesitation and had to exclaim that he was such an admirable friend.”

In “The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island”, Jin will showcase his excellent cooking skills as well as his strength.

Jin’s visual aroused keen attention since the beginning of the shoot. PD Kim said, “I was very surprised that Chef Lee Yeon-bok and Jin were actually close to each other. During a previous shoot, Chef Lee Yeon-bok and the production team discussed having Jin on the show because he had just been discharged from the military”, adding “Wouldn’t Jin also think it was an opportunity for him to let fans and the public know what he had prepared after his military discharge”.

Regarding the atmosphere of the filming, the PD said, “Jin appeared on ‘Please Take Care Of My Refrigerator’ with Chef Ahn Jung-hwan and Lee Yeon-bok before, and he was also close to Sandeul so the atmosphere was so good. The chemistry of the cast is very important to our program. We actually filmed it comfortably without worrying”.

As for Jin’s intention to reappear in the program, PD Kim said, “I didn’t mention anything specifically because I didn’t want to pressure him. He’s too busy”, adding “However, if you want to join us again, of course, the production team always wants to have him again”.

The PD also expressed gratitude for foreign viewers’ attention, raising expectations for the main show to gain high ratings.

“The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island”, starring BTS’s Jin, will air at 9 p.m. on August 19th.
