BTS’s Jin, who is serving in the military, presented a whopping two months’ salary for Jimin’s birthday.

BTS’s Jimin reportedly had a live broadcast with fans to celebrate his birthday on October 13th. Jimin, who was holding a cute character pouch on his pants, told curious fans, “I met Jin the other day.” He took out the pouch, saying, “He bought me this as my birthday present. There was cash in the pouch.” Jimin said, “He even put pocket money inside. My brother gave me two months’ salary. Thank you so much,” he added. “Isn’t this really funny and cute? He said he put real money inside.

Jin was scheduled to become a corporal on Sept. 1, but was promoted to corporal two months earlier as he qualified as a special fighter. As of 2023, the monthly salary of a Korean corporal is 800,000 won, and the allowance given to Jimin is about 1.6 million won.

Jimin said, “I think I’ll eat delicious food well. Thank you so much. I heard you’re coming back. I hope you watch this. I’m so grateful, amazing and don’t know what to say. Thank you. It’s so special that I’m going to think about it a lot. I think I’ll remember it for a long time,” thanking Jin.

Meanwhile, Jin joined the army as an active-duty soldier on December 13 last year and is currently serving as an assistant. He will be discharged from the military on June 12 next year.
