BTS’s Jimin Revealed Thoughts, Shaved Hair And Future Plans To Fans In Last Livestream Before Enlistment

BTS’s Jimin unveiled his short hair a day before joining the army

On December 11, Jimin did a livestream on the fan community Weverse, saying, “I’m going tomorrow. That’s why I came here to say goodbye. I did this a little late, but I should have greeted you earlier. I’m sorry.”

Earlier on the day, members RM and V went to Nonsan Training Center in South Chungcheong Province for their enlistment. After receiving basic military training, the two will serve in the army. Regarding this, Jimin said, “I saw Taehyung (V) and Namjoon (RM) join the military today. They went safely. I laughed and said I would do well. I didn’t cry. I miss them, too. We have to enlist quickly so that we can all work together in a short time.”

Jimin will join the army with Jungkook. They will be admitted to the army’s 5th Infantry Division, where Jin is serving as an assistant. “I think I’ll depend on Jungkook a lot to when joining the army. I’m getting older now,” Jimin said.

Jimin also shared, “It’s getting cold these days, so be careful not to catch a cold. I also had a flu for about 5 days after I came back from Japan. After I got sick, I thought, ‘There’s a week left. Who should I meet?'” and “I met friends once and drank with them. It’s not like I’m not going to see them anymore, so I spent all my time at home.”

Jimin added, “Suga is doing great. RM and V are doing great, and Jin and Hoseok are doing great. Jungkook and I will do our best. I hope we can do what we want to do after we come back. I really wanted to do what we wanted to do together.”

Jimin said, “Jin went to the military and we had to worked hard to reduce the time gap,” adding, “That’s how a year passed and I felt a lot of things in the meantime. As we went through more and more things, we wanted to see you as a group and tour quickly,” and added, “I hope that the time will come soon when I can have fun with you like in the past. In the meantime, I will go and serve, exercise hard, and practice as much as I can.”

To the fans, he said, “I’m always happy and thankful. I didn’t want to say this but I’m still thankful. Anyway, I feel like I am going to be away from my friends who I’ve been with for about 10 or 11 years.”

Jimin promised, “People like me will gain a lot of weight in the military. Then I’ll get out of this skinny body and come back healthy. I will go home after the livestream to meet, eat, and spend time with my family,” he said. “When I’m in the outside world, time flies. It must have been hard for you, but I thought, ‘It’s already been a year for Jin’. I’ll be there soon. I’ll be back soon.” He even encouraged his fans.

In addition, he shared about his plans, “I have prepared something, but I don’t know. I kept thinking about what I wanted to do, so I prepared what I wanted to do, but I don’t know if you like it. I hope it will be something you will like someday,” raising expectations.

Jimin then saw the comments, burst into laughter, saying, “You really wants to see my hair.” Eventually, Jimin pushed his chair back a little and took off his hat. As he was about to join the military, his hair was shaved. The idol swept his hair in an awkward way, bowed and patted his head, saying, “I’ll be back safely,” and put on his hat again.

Finally, Jimin said, “I’ll come back healthy. I’ll leave messages or write letters if I can. See you later. I’ll be back soon. I’ll be back safely. I’ll turn it off now. I’ll spend some time with my family.”

However, Jimin couldn’t finish the live with ease, looking at the comments and the camera. Jimin said, “I’ll contact you no matter what you write or do. I’ll miss you. I love you. I’ll be back.” He took off his hat and said goodbye to his fans before ending the livestream.

Meanwhile, Big Hit Music, BTS’s agency, announced through Weverse, “We and BTS’s members hope to resume full-group activities by 2025.”
