Jimin rose to the top of the list of the best Korean male entertainers for October, as selected by Japanese fans, showcasing his popularity.

Jimin secured the first place in the survey conducted by the Japanese Hallyu media ‘Danmee’ from October 20th to October 27th, in the ‘Best Korean Male Celebrity for October’ poll.

With a total of 9,630 votes, Jimin obtained 4,009 votes, achieving a 41.63% approval rate. By claiming the top spot in ‘Best Korean Male Celebrity for October,’ he continued his record-breaking streak, maintaining the first position for nine consecutive months from February to October.

The ‘Danmee’ survey, conducted to convey the vivid voices of Japanese K-pop fans, rigorously selects candidates based on the number of votes, approval rates, SNS responses, and allows only one vote per person to ensure a fair investigation.

Since the release of his solo album ‘FACE’ in March, Jimin has set a historic record as the first solo artist in 2023 to top the Oricon ‘Weekly Combined Album Ranking,’ ‘Weekly Digital Album Ranking,’ and ‘Weekly Album Ranking.’

Having recorded cumulative shipments of over 250,000 copies, Jimin became the only Korean solo singer in 2023 to receive platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). This achievement is particularly noteworthy as the first-ever for a K-pop solo artist with a Korean-language album.
