Back in December 2021, all seven members of BTS joined Instagram, making headlines worldwide. V (Kim Taehyung) instantly broke records, amassing millions of followers in hours. With over 69 million followers today, he remains the most-followed Korean male celebrity on the platform.

Yet, V’s online activity is under the microscope once more after allegations resurfaced regarding an unverified account, allegedly belonging to him, that follows controversial figures—specifically Seungri, the disgraced former BIGBANG member convicted in connection with the Burning Sun scandal.
The account in question, @tebrov, has been circulating online since 2021. It first drew attention during dating rumors involving V and Joanna Chun, daughter of Paradise Group chairman Phillip Jeon. At the time, netizens pointed out that Joanna followed @tebrov, leading some to believe the account might be V’s.
Speculation grew when fans noted that the username “tebrov” could be a mix of “Taehyung” and “V.” Supporters of the theory also attempted to link the account’s activity to V’s behavior on Weverse, citing timing and phrasing similarities as circumstantial “proof.”

However, critics were quick to point out that these claims had largely originated from Sojang, a notorious Korean YouTube channel now facing lawsuits from multiple idols for spreading defamatory rumors. Many fans and analysts believe the account connection was a fabricated narrative, possibly created by anti-fans or malicious sources attempting to damage V’s reputation.
The revival of this rumor comes on the heels of V being criticized for his demeanor at a recent W Korea event, where his reserved expressions became a hot topic among fans and media alike.
As of now, neither BTS’s agency HYBE nor V himself has addressed the latest round of speculation. Fans, however, are once again rallying in support of the star, condemning the baseless accusations and the resurfacing of long-debunked stories.
