BTS RM’s Younger Sister Opens Cafe In Seongsu-dong, “Rooting For Your New Beginning”
The new cafe opened by the younger sister of BTS’s leader RM is expected to become a new hot place in Seongsu-dong
According to insiders on July 3rd, RM’s younger sister opened a cafe in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul earlier on the 1st. The 50-pyeong cafe is located on a busy street in Seongsu-dong. The value of this area is expected to rise further in the future as a famous clothing brand’s select shop was opened across the street and there are also plans to relocate offices.
The photos taken at the cafe that spread in online communities showed a congratulatory wreath sent by SM to celebrate the opening of the cafe. Showing support for his sister’s business challenge, RM left a message, saying “I’m rooting for your new beginning, my sister! From Kim Nam-joon”.
This is the first time that a family member of BTS has opened a cafe in Seoul. The brother of BTS’s oldest member Jin used to run a Western-style Japanese restaurant in Songpa-gu, but it has already moved to Yeouido. Jimin’s father runs a cafe in Busan, Jimin’s hometown.
After the opening of the cafe on July 1st, visitors left many reviews, such as “I like the high ceiling and the feeling of openness at the cafe”, “Decoration details are so pretty and desserts are very delicious”, “The atmosphere, music and also coffee were all great”, etc.
As the news spread, Korean and international ARMYs are also planning to visit the cafe, raising high expectations for the cafe as well as Seongsu-dong in Seoul to become a travel attraction.
