On September 12, BTS leader RM (real name Kim Namjoon) marked his birthday by making two generous donations to major hospitals in Korea.
According to medical officials, RM donated ₩100 million to Seoul Asan Medical Center and another ₩100 million to Korea University Medical Center for their development fund.
Explaining his decision, RM stated, “I wanted to take part in something meaningful for my birthday. I hope this donation can offer even a little help to patients who desperately need treatment but are struggling financially.”
Seoul Asan Medical Center announced that RM’s donation will be allocated toward covering surgery and treatment expenses for economically disadvantaged patients. Similarly, Korea University Medical Center confirmed that the contribution will be used to enhance medical facilities and expand healthcare services.
The BTS member, widely admired for his philanthropy, has once again shown his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the stage.
