On June 20, Jungkook updated the profile picture on his personal social media account. His new image featured David and Lucy, two characters from Netflix’s animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a Japanese sci-fi animation that premiered in 2022. Set in a dystopian world filled with corruption and cybernetic enhancements, the story follows a talented but reckless street kid who becomes an outlaw mercenary known as an Edgerunner in his fight for survival.
As soon as news of Jungkook’s profile update spread, Netflix Brazil quickly responded. The streaming giant changed its official profile picture to a scene featuring David and Lucy sitting together from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The account’s bio was also updated to read, “Jungkook watched Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.”

This is not the first time Netflix has openly shown affection for Jungkook.
Previously, Jungkook revealed that he had cried while watching Netflix’s original animated film KPop Demon Hunters. During a livestream with fans, he even rewatched several scenes, becoming emotional during Jinu’s sacrifice for Rumi. His reaction quickly went viral online.
In response, Netflix changed its official profile image to a screenshot of Jungkook crying and updated its bio to say, “Jungkook watched KPop Demon Hunters.”
Notably, Jungkook is the first K-pop star whose profile picture update has inspired such a response from Netflix.

The tour is scheduled to visit 34 cities worldwide with a total of 86 performances. However, due to overwhelming demand from fans across multiple regions, additional dates continue to be added to the itinerary.
BTS is also set to headline the halftime show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final, which will take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States. The performance will place the group alongside global music icons such as Madonna and Shakira, further cementing their status as one of the world’s biggest acts.
