BTS’s Jungkook has once again proven his global influence, this time as a fashion icon, after being selected as one of Esquire’s “50 Most Stylish Men in Music.”
Jungkook ranked 11th on the list released by the U.S. magazine Esquire, standing out among globally renowned artists. The publication praised him for achieving massive success with his first solo album GOLDEN in 2023, noting that the project clearly set him apart from his peers.

Esquire emphasized that Jungkook’s prominence in the K-pop scene is not driven by music alone. The magazine highlighted his bold personal style, pointing to his lip and multiple piercings, as well as the full-sleeve tattoos covering his right arm—elements that break away from traditional idol images. According to the outlet, Jungkook confidently pursues a signature style guided by strong personal taste and individuality.
The magazine further described his fashion sense as a daring mix of Western haute couture and Asian street fashion, praising his distinct attitude and free-spirited mindset. Jungkook’s ability to blend contrasting aesthetics has become a defining trait of his image.
Esquire also cited his role as a Calvin Klein ambassador since 2023 as a major factor in his selection. Through these activities, Jungkook has amassed an enormous international fanbase, with more than 50 million Instagram followers. The publication noted that every outfit, post, or photoshoot he shares creates a powerful ripple effect, often leading to immediate sell-outs. This phenomenon has even earned him the nickname “Sold Out King.”
Summing up his impact, Esquire declared, “Jungkook is, quite literally, a truly golden presence.”

Jungkook’s fashion influence was especially evident last September when he attended New York Fashion Week for the 2026 Spring/Summer season. With just a single Instagram post showing his arrival at the venue, he generated an estimated $825,000 in media exposure value. An analysis of 150 influencers and celebrities at the event revealed that Jungkook dominated social media mentions, accounting for 55.09 percent—more than double that of the second-ranked figure at 24.60 percent.
On September 13 alone, more than 1.3 million posts mentioning Jungkook were created on X (formerly Twitter), earning him the title of “most talked-about musician” of the day and demonstrating his explosive global reach.
From live broadcasts and selfies to pictorials, advertisements, concerts, and even airport fashion, the items Jungkook wears consistently sell out, cementing his reputation as a “blue-chip” figure in the fashion industry. Notably, when he appeared at the airport wearing a modernized version of traditional Korean hanbok, the brand’s online store crashed due to traffic, and sales surged to ten times the usual amount. The moment sparked a worldwide trend, driving increased overseas orders and renewed interest among younger consumers.
By continuing to dominate both music and fashion, Jungkook has once again reaffirmed his presence as a global artist with unparalleled influence.
