BTS Jungkook Breaks Records on Spotify with ‘Seven’, Surpassing Harry Styles and Justin Bieber

BTS’s Jungkook wrote new history in just 23 days with his solo single “Seven”.

On July 14th, BTS Jungkook released his solo single ‘Seven,’ which surpassed 300 million streams on the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify.

In just 23 days, ‘Seven’ recorded a cumulative 315,578,879 streams (unfiltered) and demonstrated the power of a global mega-hit song.

According to the World Music Awards (WMA), known as the “Billboard of Europe,” ‘Seven’ competed for the shortest time to reach 300 million streams among all male artists’ songs on Spotify. It also established the second fastest record after Miley Cyrus’s ‘Flowers’ which achieved 300 million streams in just 20 days.

Following Jungkook’s ‘Seven,’ the second-fastest song among male artists worldwide to surpass 300 million Spotify streams was Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’ in 28 days, and Justin Bieber x The Kid LAROI’s ‘STAY’ achieved this feat in just 36 days, making it the fourth fastest.

Previously, ‘Seven’ broke records on Spotify by reaching 50 million streams in just 3 days and 100 million streams within 6 days (unfiltered).

Additionally, Guinness World Records announced that Jungkook’s ‘Seven’ achieved the highest number of streams, with 89,748,171 streams (filtered) and the shortest time to reach 100 million streams (filtered) on Spotify’s global chart among all male artist tracks in one week.

With ‘Seven,’ Jungkook topped the Spotify ‘Weekly Top Song Global’ chart for three consecutive weeks, becoming the first and longest-standing K-pop artist to do so.

Jungkook also continued to set new records on the ‘Daily Top Song Global’ chart, maintaining the top position for 25 days, the longest period for any Asian artist on the platform.
