Jin’s Instagram engagement rate recorded an overwhelming figure of 26.62%. Despite his active military service enlistment starting from December last year, he has demonstrated unrivaled popularity and tremendous influence.

StarNgage is a market research company with clients such as Coca-Cola, Samsung, PayPal, and TikTok. The term “engagement rate” refers to the actual participation rate of real people, filtering out bots.

On June 21st, Jin also maintained No. 9 in the ranking of the “most influential music influencers in the United States” announced by HypeAuditor. He secured the top spot among Asian males and ranked 2nd among male influencers worldwide, following Justin Bieber.

Moreover, he climbed to No. 2 among male influencers worldwide and 1st among Asian males in the first half of 2023 in the category of “most influential music influencers in the United States.”

The top-ranked male artist worldwide is Justin Bieber, followed by BTS Jin in 2nd place, Zayn Malik in 3rd place, Shawn Mendes in 4th place, and Harry Styles in 5th place.

Jin also boasts unrivaled popularity by ranking 1st among Asian males for 202 days in the “Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers in the United States” ranking, despite having limited Instagram posts due to his military service.

Jin demonstrates his “social media king” status by ranking as the “K-pop idol with the most likes on Instagram in the first quarter of 2023.”

In April last year, Jin was the most mentioned male artist worldwide among individual male artists at the Grammy Awards. He also topped the list as the most mentioned individual at the Billboard Music Awards and achieved 1st place in February, March, and July of last year, totaling four 1st-place rankings, proving his popularity as a top global star.

Jin’s first solo single, “The Astronaut,” released on October 28th last year, became the first million-seller among certified solo singles by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). In addition, it received a golden certification in the RIA Japan, making Jin the first Korean solo artist to achieve this in 2022.

“The Astronaut” debuted at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Jin’s highest debut as a K-pop artist. It also peaked at No.4, the highest ranking for a Korean-language solo song within the past 10 years, on the Japan Billboard Hot 100.

In the year-end chart “Top Single Sales” by Billboard Japan, “The Astronaut” reached No. 49 within just one month of release, being the only Korean song on the chart.

Jin’s “The Astronaut” also claimed the top spot on the ‘Match FM Conteo Match top30’ chart, which is hosted by Mexican radio channel ‘Match FM’ on June 17th (local time). It marked a significant milestone as the first achievement by a BTS member. Ariana Grande secured the 2nd place, followed by Ed Sheeran in 3rd place.
