On April 20, J-Hope shared photos on his social media along with the caption “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’. TOKYO,” giving fans a glimpse into the concert held at Tokyo Dome on April 17–18.

The released images captured a wide range of moments from his powerful stage performances to candid backstage and everyday scenes. Among them, one particular photo stood out: a tearful selfie showing his swollen face after crying. Unable to hide his emotions, the image left fans feeling deeply touched.

It was revealed that J-Hope received news of his grandmother’s passing shortly after arriving in Tokyo for the concert. Despite the sudden loss, he chose not to cancel the performance and fulfilled his promise to fans by taking the stage.

During the concert, J-Hope opened up, saying, “As soon as I arrived in Japan, I heard that my grandmother, who raised me since I was young, had passed away. I was truly shocked and overwhelmed.” He added, “As I shared a meal with the members and prepared for the show, I was able to gradually calm myself.”

He continued with heartfelt sincerity, “My grandmother was always very proud—not only of me but of all the members. If she were watching this performance from above, I believe she would have been very happy.”

Lastly, he expressed his gratitude to fans, saying, “Thank you, ARMY, for making this stage even more meaningful. I’m really okay.” His words conveyed both strength and comfort.

J-Hope’s unwavering professionalism and heartfelt sincerity, even in the midst of grief, have left a lasting impression not only on fans but on many others as well.
