The aftermath of BTS’s large-scale concert at Gwanghwamun Square has taken an unexpected turn, as online discussions have begun dragging fellow HYBE group LE SSERAFIM into the spotlight.
Following the free concert held in Seoul on March 21, netizens quickly began debating the actual turnout, with some claiming the crowd size fell short of earlier projections. As these conversations spread, comparisons with other HYBE artists soon emerged particularly LE SSERAFIM’s past performances in Japan.

The girl group previously held concerts at the iconic Tokyo Dome during their “Easy Crazy Hot” tour, performing over two consecutive days. While the shows were seen as a major milestone that highlighted their popularity in Japan, they were not without controversy.
At the time, some attendees alleged that not all seats at the venue were filled, raising questions about attendance. Recently, clips from those concerts reportedly shared by Japanese users have resurfaced online, showing sections of empty seats, particularly in upper tiers.

These videos have since spread across Korean online communities, where some users used them to speculate that HYBE may have exaggerated attendance figures across multiple events. The situation quickly escalated, with both BTS and LE SSERAFIM becoming targets of criticism and mockery in viral posts.
However, not all reactions have been negative. Some netizens pushed back against the claims, arguing that the footage may have been taken during moments when audiences were leaving or from restricted-view sections that were not fully opened to the public.
