A shocking security breach has surfaced during BTS’s ongoing “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’”, after 500 concert wristbands were reportedly stolen from the venue.

The theft occurred at the ticket booth of Goyang Stadium, where a male suspect allegedly grabbed a large batch of wristbands and fled the scene.

Police responded quickly and are currently tracking the suspect using witness descriptions, while conducting searches in nearby areas.

These wristbands are a key part of the entry system, required alongside tickets for access into the concert.

With over 40,000 attendees per show, the theft has raised concerns about: possible unauthorized access, ticket fraud or resale schemes and weaknesses in event security.

As news of the incident spread, fans flooded online communities with reactions:

  • 100% a reseller LOL
  • Definitely a reseller did it
  • Wow, 500 of them
  • This is crazy LOL. It’s ridiculous that you could just go in and grab them like that… How is it even possible to take 500 like that?
  • How is the management this bad?
  • What are they even going to do with them…?
  • What’s the point of just having wristbands when seats are assigned? Are they just going to sit in empty seats?
  • This is weird… what’s the use of wristbands alone?
  • LOL this is honestly so absurd, funny, and confusing at the same time

Authorities are continuing their investigation and working to prevent any misuse of the stolen wristbands.

While the concerts have proceeded without major disruption, the incident has sparked broader discussions about security systems at large-scale K-pop events.
