On the website’s loyalty ranking scale of 100 points, BTS scored 88.4 points, surpassing all other artists. The score was based on survey questions, including the distance fans would travel and the amount of money they would spend to see their favorite artists perform.

According to the survey, BTS fans are willing to travel an average of 2,040 miles. They are also the most likely to travel as a group from one city to another, with a rate of 62.5%. The late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, ranked second in loyalty with 76.8 points, followed by Elton John with 66.4 points and Lady Gaga with 63.3 points.

ARMY, BTS fandom, has long been known for their love of travel. BTS’s concerts attract an international audience with fans coming from different countries around the world. During BTS’s 10th anniversary celebration last month, BTS Festa drew approximately 400,000 fans, including 120,000 international ARMYs from outside of Korea.

According to a 2019 Hyundai Research Institute report, BTS contributes around $4.9 billion to the economy each year. The institute estimates that the group could generate profits of up to $43.8 billion for the South Korean economy from 2014 to 2023.
