Brown Eyed Girls Gain, who was punished for taking propofol and is taking a hiatus for self-reflection, appeared on “Earth Arcade 2”.

The June 16th episode of tvN’s “Earth Arcade 2” showed Earth warriors Lee Eun Ji, Mimi, Lee Young Ji, and Ahn Yu Jin going to Bali following their Finland trip.

On the broadcast, the face of Brown Eyed Girls member Gain was shown on the screen. “Earth Arcade 2” introduced second-generation idol group Brown Eyed Girls and used a scene of Gain singing “Abracadabra” without editing.

Normally, celebrities with drug-related incidents are often got cut out or blurred on broadcasts considering viewers’ sentiments. However, scenes that could have been edited or censored if it were a terrestrial broadcast were revealed through “Earth Arcade 2”.

In particular, “Earth Arcade 2” is a program that teenagers can watch, and it is not appropriate to show the face of Gain, who has been punished for her illegal administration of propofol. Some people are worried that celebrities with drug scandals may have a bad influence that leads to young people’s imitation.

Meanwhile, Gain was caught illegally taking propofol, a psychotropic drug, from July to August 2019 and fined 1 million won for violating the Narcotics Control Act. 

When this fact was belatedly revealed, Gain confessed through her agency, saying “Due to accumulated severe pain, depression, and severe sleep disorders caused by various injuries during my activities, I ended up making an unwise choice”.
