A post recently surfaced on social media alleging serious misconduct by contestant “A”, a former trainee at B Entertainment. The author of the post claims that A received preferential treatment from high-ranking staff at the company and allegedly used this favoritism to behave disrespectfully toward other employees.
A is revealed to be trainee “Kim Geon-woo,” the center of Team K’s “Hola Solar.” On July 17, as the show aired its first episode introducing contestants from Planet K and Planet C, Kim Geon-woo, already selected as the center for the program’s signature song, entered with a confident stride.
Other trainees were visibly impressed, commenting:
- “He looks like he walked straight out of a comic book,”
- “He’s incredibly tall and handsome,”
- “His live vocals are so stable!”
Dressed in a sleek outfit with a tall, slim figure and fair skin, Gunwoo impressed both trainees and master judges with clean dance lines and a steady live performance. Some even stated he perfectly matched the concept of a center idol.
“A was nicknamed ‘the king of B Entertainment’ among trainees,” the post reads. “He was fully aware of the favoritism and used it to live comfortably while treating some staff members as inferiors.”
He acted superior and bullied fellow trainees, who were required to treat him with deference. Kim frequently acted like a bully in front of the other trainees, reportedly even worse than Park Yeon-jin from The Glory. All trainees were required to bow whenever they saw him, or else they would be scolded. Many were terrified of him, and some even developed psychological issues. One victim’s medical prescription was publicly disclosed.

The allegations also claim that A skipped dance lessons to go drinking or travel to Japan with company executives, including the head of the rookie development team and even a department director. Rumors of embezzlement of company funds during these outings were also mentioned, though no concrete evidence was provided.
Despite the serious claims, Kim Geon-woo’s appearance was aired without any edits on the show. This move surprised many viewers, leading to speculation about the show’s internal stance. In response, a representative from Mnet told Sports Kyunghyang, “We are currently verifying the facts and carefully reviewing whether there are any legal implications.”

The situation has cast a shadow over Boys 2 Planet, which is the follow-up to the 2023 season Boys Planet that launched the group ZEROBASEONE. The new season will premiere in two parts: Boys 2 Planet K on July 17 at 9:20 PM, and Boys 2 Planet C on July 18 at the same time.
