Actor Bosco Wong became the emotional highlight of the 58th TVB Anniversary Awards on the evening of January 4, when he finally claimed the Best Actor (TV King) title for his performance in The Queen of News 2—his first-ever win after 10 nominations over a 28-year career.
Overwhelmed by the moment, Bosco Wong broke down in tears on stage, unable to hold back his emotions as the long-awaited recognition became reality.
Earlier that same night, Bosco Wong had already won Best Actor – Greater Bay Area (Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau), which only heightened his anxiety. Accepting the main award, he candidly admitted, “Because I already won Best Actor in the Greater Bay Area, I was worried I might miss out on this one.”
With his portrayal of Gu Zhao Wah—a character who always prioritizes personal gain above all else—in The Queen of News 2, Bosco Wong ultimately secured two “TV King” titles in a single night, a rare and historic achievement.
