After addressing historical distortion allegations, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty has bounced back to steady ratings, maintaining the 15% range.
In episode 10, which aired on September 21, YoonA’s character Yeon Ji-young and Lee Chae-min’s character Yi Heon grew closer as they worked together to clear her name from an attempted assassination charge. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama recorded 15.9% in the metropolitan area (peaking at 17.6%) and 15.8% nationwide (peaking at 17.3%), ranking first across all channels during its time slot, including terrestrial networks.
The episode built high tension when Yi Heon rushed to the prison after hearing Ji-young had been accused of trying to poison Grand Prince Jinmyeong. While Queen Ja-hyeon (Shin Eun-jung) tried to block him, Yi Heon nearly drew his sword in anger, only to be stopped by Ji-young’s desperate pleas. Despite his efforts to find evidence of her innocence, nothing was uncovered, heightening the suspense.

Since its premiere, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty has consistently maintained double-digit ratings, peaking at 15.4% in episode 8. While it initially faced backlash over alleged historical inaccuracies, original web novel author Park Guk-jae clarified the controversy through social media, helping to restore credibility.
On the same day, KBS2’s Walking on Thin Ice, starring Lee Young-ae, recorded just 3.3%, underscoring the dominance of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty in its timeslot.
