The issue began when eagle-eyed netizens noticed that BM had liked and reposted a TikTok video. The video praised KARD‘s contributions to K-pop as a pioneering co-ed group, but the caption drew attention for a different reason. It included the line, “KARD has so much better music than ALLDAY PROJECT” which many interpreted as subtle shade toward ALLDAY PROJECT.
Given the growing popularity of ALLDAY PROJECT and the mixed public opinions surrounding the group’s music and member behavior the post quickly gained traction online. Fans criticized BM, assuming he endorsed the comparison and the dismissive tone toward the newer group.

In response to the backlash, BM took to X (formerly Twitter) to explain his side. He clarified that he hadn’t noticed the caption and only shared the video because it highlighted KARD’s underappreciated role as a co-ed group. He emphasized that there was no ill intent and that the message he saw focused on KARD’s influence not on belittling others.
BM also spoke about the incident during a live stream, further addressing fan concerns. He reiterated that it was an honest mistake and asked viewers not to misinterpret his actions. Importantly, he expressed his support for ALLDAY PROJECT, saying that he and his fellow KARD members were genuinely happy to see another co-ed group rising in the industry.
The controversy now appears to be a case of misunderstanding rather than malice, with BM’s public clarification and supportive message helping to ease tensions among fans.
