BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” appears in the trailer for a Hollywood animation?

In the final trailer for an upcoming DreamWorks animated movie, one of BLACKPINK’s hits, “Pink Venom”, can be heard. 

On June 10th, the final trailer for DreamWorks’ upcoming animated movie, “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken” was published. 

Most notably, during this trailer, a snippet from BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom” can be heard, drawing attention from both animation and Kpop fans. 

It is known that “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken” follows Ruby Gillman, a shy 16-year-old teenager who is part kraken. Her greatest struggle was to be less awkward and fit into high school, until a mermaid turned human comes and uproots her life. 

The movie is set to premiere on June 30th in the United States, and is produced by DreamWorks, which is behind the success of “Shrek”, “How to Train Your Dragon”, “Kung Fu Panda”, and many more.

It is unknown whether “Pink Venom” will be used as an official soundtrack for the movie, or if the song will only appear in the trailer.
