BLACKPINK’s Lisa and BTS’s Jimin Enter Billboard Hot 100 at #70 and #88

BLACKPINK's Lisa and BTS's Jimin have entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart with their solo songs

According to Billboard on the 9th, Lisa’s new song “Rockstar” debuted at number 70 on the Hot 100. Jimin’s “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” climbed to number 88.

Billboard noted, “Lisa has achieved the highest ranking among her solo songs released so far.” Previously, Lisa reached a peak of 84 with “Lalisa” (2021) and 90 with “Money.”

Jimin’s entry into the Hot 100 marks his fifth time. Previously, he reached number 76 last year with “Stay Alive” featuring Taemin, and in the same year, his solo song “Like Crazy” made him the first K-pop soloist to top the Hot 100.

“Rockstar” showcases Lisa’s adept rap and energetic pop vocals. It is also her first release since establishing her personal label, “LLoud Company.”

“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” is the lead single from Jimin’s second solo album, “Muse.” Rapper Loco collaborated on the track. Mixing hip-hop with a big band (a large-scale orchestra) sound, “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” features a lively and dynamic atmosphere throughout the song, based on the marching band concept.
