BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Surpassed by Cha Eun-woo? Still “Carrying” Dior Beauty’s Brand Image

According to Launchmetrics, Dior Beauty is the best performing beauty brand in 2024, partly thanks to BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. 

In particular, analysis of Dior Beauty’s celebrity coverage showed a strong South Korean influence. In fact, South celebrities garnered 5% of the global brand MIV, with the top 3 celebrities mentioning the brand being of South Korean origin.

Among those, the partnership between Jisoo and Dior Beauty exemplifies the profound benefits of long-term brand collaborations. Over time, consumers have increasingly associated Dior Beauty with Jisoo’s image, reinforcing brand recognition and loyalty. Jisoo’s deep integration into Dior Beauty’s strategy ensures that her ambassadorship permeates through multiple consumer touchpoints.

Additionally, it was reported that Jisoo generated the Top Placement post with $1.6M MIV (Media Impact Value). However, in terms of overall MIV, Jisoo, who recorded $10.9M MIV (11% up year-on-year) was surpassed by Cha Eun-woo, whose total MIV increased 380% to $12.3M MIV in 2024.

In 3rd place is Han So-hee, whose MIV increased 154% to $9.6M in 2024.
