In particular, the idol-actress recalled her experience while filming for the K-drama “Newtopia” (formerly known as “Influenza”) and the movie adaptation of “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint”, saying, “The memories of filming flashed through my mind. I have always vowed not to choose ‘momentary ease’ no matter how hard things are. I wanted to look back and see if there was anything I missed. Thinking about whether I did my best in every moment, I felt a lot of different emotions. The end is always bittersweet, but it seems like I had a passionate and enjoyable time with people who came to have one heart while filming together for a long time.”
Jisoo then discussed the challenges she faced as an actress, stating, “The most enjoyable part is creating a multi-dimensional character from the script. It’s fascinating how all my expressions and tones become a kind of color on the character. If I don’t express it well, the character might feel monotonous like achromatic colors, so I do feel some pressure. Thankfully, the directors and fellow actors have given me a lot of advice and encouragement. As I gain these experiences, something uniquely mine will emerge, right?”
At the same time, the female idol expressed that she is aware of how lucky she is when it comes to acting projects.
“I know how lucky I am, being able to do what I want. I’m just grateful for the precious experiences I can have and want to fully focus on the opportunities that come my way. I enjoy immersing myself in what I like to do. I don’t think I need to be impatient to achieve something. If I work hard on each and every thing, I believe I’ll progress at the right speed and in the right direction”, she said.
Finally, Jisoo revealed the inner qualities she’d find attractive for an ideal type, sharing, “Someone who knows to acknowledge. Acknowledging something different from themselves shows that they have a big heart, respect others, and are considerate and understanding. At the same time, they must have self-esteem that allows them to willingly lower themselves. I think people who courageously acknowledge their mistakes or shortcomings are also beautiful. All these attitudes stem from a relaxed inner self.”
