Jennie of BLACKPINK will reportedly show support for Zico’s comeback in his 10th solo debut anniversary
According to a TenAsia report on April 4, BLACKPINK’s Jennie has shown her support for Zico’s 10th-anniversary solo debut comeback.
In particular, Jennie will feature in a song and appeared in the music video for Zico’s commemorative single, which is set to be released at the end of this month. Jennie readily accepted Zico’s proposal, given their existing friendship, and not only participated in featuring but also appeared in the music video. Fans are eagerly anticipating the musical synergy between Zico and Jennie in this new song.
On the other hand, Zico is making a comeback in the music industry with a new single at the end of this month. This comeback marks approximately 21 months since the release of his EP album “Grown Ass Kid” in July 2022.
This comeback holds special significance for Zico. Celebrating his 10th solo debut anniversary this year, Zico is determined to showcase his musical prowess through this new song.
Additionally, he has been selected as the sole MC for the first time on a music program. Zico will be taking over the baton from singer Lee Hyori and has been appointed as the next MC for KBS 2TV’s “The Seasons.” The first recording is scheduled for the 23rd, with the first broadcast set for the 26th.
Furthermore, Zico continues to thrive as a producer. Having been active as a producer on various hip-hop programs, Zico was the mastermind behind the mission song “Saebing” on Mnet’s “Street Man Fighter” in 2022. He also participated in the production of “Smoke” on Mnet’s “Street Woman Fighter 2” in November last year.
Currently, Zico is actively serving as the overall producer for his label KOZ Entertainment’s rookie group, BOYNEXTDOOR. Under Zico’s supervision, BOYNEXTDOOR debuted in May last year and have been receiving love. They are gearing up for a comeback with their second mini-album “HOW?” scheduled for release on April 15.
