Despite being the “YG Princess”, BLACKPINK’s Jennie does not seem to receive enough protection from her company
BLACKPINK’s Jennie is having to face airport security troubles and unresolved dating rumors.
Jennie has landed her flight back to Korea after her attendance in the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2022. However, YG’s loose security guards led to the idol being surrounded by the crowds. Amidst the fans’ shoving and constant camera flashes from reporters, Jennie could not help but frown and show her irritation.
This is not the first time the idol has had unfortunate incidents at the airport. In November 2021, after wrapping up her schedules in the US and Korea, the idol was seen avoiding the camera lenses due to the constant clicking and flashes. However, her avoidance was criticized as cold and distant.
In July 2021, at Incheon international airport, Jennie was seen holding her head due to a chaotic mob. In other times, she was seen holding on to her manager and avoiding the crowd to move around. Fans are requesting YG to increase the airport security for Jennie and BLACKPINK in the future.
Recently, Jennie is entangled in a rumored relationship with BTS’s V. However, YG Entertainment and HYBE Labels, the idols’ respective companies, are keeping silent and not giving out official announcements, which angers fans for the prolonged effects the rumors have on personal lives and professional careers of the idols.
While being called the “YG Princess”, the treatment Jennie receives does not seem to match. Fans are showing their discontent and ask for more timely intervention from YG both in providing better security and proper announcement about the circulating rumors. In regards to dating rumors, if not dealt with soon enough, the rumors will only continue affecting personal lives of the idol.
