BLACKPINK’s Jennie Discloses How She Manages Personal Label ODD ATELIER

Jennie from BLACKPINK reveals various information about her company and herself in a recent interview with Vogue Korea.

On April 17, the Vogue Korea issue featuring BLACKPINK’s Jennie was published, and an interview with the worldwide female idol was also revealed. Here, Jennie discloses various aspects of herself as well as how she manages her personal label ODD ATELIER.

In particular, when asked if there are any principles she has established to lead the company well, Jennie replied, “If anyone comes up with a new idea, we encourage them to share it right away. Everyone should work happily in their position. I believe that if these two conditions are met, good synergy will occur. Good synergy will create something new that attracts attention.”

Against the question of “Are there any reactions or perspectives that you find fresh or interesting?”, Jennie responded, “I think I showed a lot of new sides of myself through ‘Apartment 404’. By appearing regularly on an entertainment program for the first time in 5 years. I also got a lot of fun nicknames. I presented conceptual fashion to match the setting of the times that changed with each episode, and the response was better than expected. It was really fun to see the fans’ reactions every time a new episode was released.”

Jennie also mentioned her worries about having to choose between transformation and “being herself”, saying, “In the end, I think I choose ‘something that is true to me’. I believe that my fans will welcome and support all my challenges, so I always try new things, but even when I do that, the most important thing is that I have to be myself. I also feel much happier when I show what I pursue without any pretense. Of course, better results follow.”

Next, Jennie mentioned music as her top priority. “There is a joy that can only be felt when communicating through music”, she insisted.

Finally, when asked about her solo album, Jennie stated, “These days, I spend almost all my time working on music. I don’t notice time passing. I am working hard with a desire to share my music with more people and a bolder ambition, so please look forward to it. To meet those expectations, I will come back with a great appearance.”
