Toward the end of 2024, top K-pop groups and solo artists are gearing up to release new music to meet the expectations of their fans. According to previously announced information, several female idols will be making their return in October, including aespa, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, ITZY, ILLIT, BabyMonster, StayC, and Kiss of Life.
This will certainly be an intense competition, turning October into a “hot zone” for the K-pop industry. One of the most anticipated comebacks is from aespa. After the success of their massive hit “Supernova,” the four girls from SM Entertainment have solidified their appeal and risen to the forefront of the K-Pop scene in South Korea. At the 2024 The Fact Music Awards, the members revealed that their new song will be titled “Whiplash,” and they teased a portion of the “addictive” choreography, making fans even more excited.
Meanwhile, Jennie has drawn attention by announcing her first solo release since founding her new company, Odd Atelier, and her first release since “You & Me” in 2023. Fans are eagerly speculating about the musical style Jennie will bring in her solo work.
The comebacks of ILLIT and BabyMonster are also sparking curiosity, as both groups are considered promising rookies in the K-pop industry. ILLIT made a strong impression with their debut hit “Magnetic”, while BabyMonster is seen as one of YG Entertainment’s key acts at the moment.
