Rosé’s ideal type, which she mentioned in a past broadcast, is drawing attention amid dating rumors with the 16-year-older Kang Dong Won.
In the past, BLACKPINK Rosé appeared on the SBS’s variety show “Park Jin Young’s Party People” and the MBC variety show “Weekly Idol”, where she mentioned a consistent ideal type. According to Rosé at the time, she liked “a man with a good voice and good at playing the guitar” .
Then, after dating rumors between Kang Dong Won and Rosé surfaced, netizens left comments on online communities saying, “Didn’t she say her ideal type was Kang Dong Won before?”, “It was Gong Yoo”, “She kept saying a man with a good voice and good at playing the guitar”, and “Then it’s a perfect match.”
Kang Dong Won (born in 1981) and Rosé (born in 1997), boasts a 16-year age gap. After creative designer Riccardo Tisci posted a photo of a gathering with Rosé and Kang Dong Won on April 16th, dating rumors between the two suddenly emerged. As the photo spread, however, Riccardo Tisci quickly deleted his post.
Meanwhile, on April 17th, Kang Dong Won’s side stated to JTBC that while Kang Dong Won and Rosé attended an event together, they cannot confirm the dating news since it’s the artist’s private life.
On the other hand, Rosé’s agency, YG Entertainment, initially stated that the dating rumor “is difficult to confirm as it is the artist’s private matter”. However, on the afternoon of the same day, YG released another statement, where they refuted Rosé’s dating rumors altogether.
