“MTV VMAs” is considered one of the four major U.S. pop music awards, along with the “Grammy Awards,” “Billboard Music Awards,” and “American Music Awards.” It started in 1984 and boasts a history of more than 40 years. Awards are presented in about 24 categories. This year, the ceremony will be held on September 12 (local time) at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

In 2020, BLACKPINK won their first award at the 2023 “MTV VMAs,” taking home the “Song Of Summer” trophy for “How You Like That.” Last year, the girl group won “Best Metaverse performance,” and Lisa won “Best K-pop” for her “LALISA” solo MV.

Currently, BLACKPINK is embarking on the last destinations of the “BORN PINK” world tour. Starting with New Jersey on August 11 (local time), they will travel to Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to meet with U.S. fans again.
