On May 4 (local time), Jennie attended the “2026 Met Gala” held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Embracing this year’s theme, Costume Art, she presented a look that balanced extravagance with refined elegance.

She styled her hair in an elegant updo enhanced with soft “kiss curls,” complementing her overall sophisticated appearance. Her outfit featured a bustier-style column dress adorned with densely embroidered blue-toned sequin leaf patterns, creating a striking visual impact.
The custom dress reportedly took approximately 540 hours to create and included around 15,000 intricate embroidery details, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. Jennie elevated the look further with Chanel high jewelry pieces made of gold and white diamonds, adding a luxurious finish. Her makeup was kept balanced with thin, elongated brows and soft pink tones, completing the harmonious styling.

This year’s appearance also marks Jennie’s fourth consecutive attendance at the Met Gala, adding to its significance. She first walked the iconic red carpet in 2023 under the theme Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, where she gained attention as one of the muses personally chosen by the late Karl Lagerfeld, former creative director of Chanel.
