BLACKPINK left a surprise video letter to fans on the group’s 7th debut anniversary.

On August 8, YG Entertainment released a video titled “BLACKPINK – 7th ANNIVERSARY” on BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel on the 8th. It is a Q&A video with questions gathered from the fan-communication platform Weverse.

BLACKPINK’s friendship shone through in the video. However, what caught attention was question 18, which asked the members to describe their happiest moments meeting fans. In reply, the BLACKPINK members recalled fond memories of meeting BLINK.

Jennie said expressing her gratitude for fans, “At first, it felt unfamiliar and I was shy to approach them. But as time went by, they felt more like a friend… And now we’re like family, supporting each other no matter what we do.” She concluded, “BLACKPINK is BLINK, and BLINK is BLACKPINK.”
