BIGBANG Taeyang revealed he formed a relationship with BTS Jimin over dinner

Taeyang, a member of BIGBANG, talked about his connection with BTS on the radio show “Two O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show.”

On the afternoon of April 27th, Taeyang appeared as a guest on SBS PowerFM’s “Two O’Clock Escape Cultwo Show” (hereinafter referred to as “Cultwo Show”). Hwang Chi Yeul was the special DJ for the day.

Taeyang recently released a solo album titled “Down to Earth” after six years of hiatus. Prior to this, he released the single “VIBE (ft. Jimin of BTS) in January, announcing his comeback.

When asked about his collaboration with Jimin, Taeyang opened up, saying, “Previously, we didn’t have any relationship.”

“There were times when our activities overlapped with those friends (BTS), but we didn’t have a chance to meet back then, since we were busy with overseas activities. Also, when these friends were actively promoting, we were not”, Taeyang said.

He then continued, “There was a gap in my activities, and because of Corona, I couldn’t be active for a long time. As I went out for a private dinner, I had a chance to meet with the BTS members”. According to Taeyang, “VIBE” was a song that was always ready to be released, and Teddy suggested that Taeyang and Jimin can work on a great song someday. As a result, the two male idols talked about it, and were happy to work together.

Meanwhile, when “Cultwo Show” DJ mentioned that BTS members chose Taeyang as their role model, Taeyang responded, “I’m not sure if I’m worthy of that praise, but I’m grateful. This time, I’m back after a long hiatus, and I’m actually seeking advice from my juniors.”
