BIGBANG T.O.P to return as soloist? Swings shows support after “face scribble controversy”
As T.O.P from BIGBANG raises speculations about a solo comeback, rapper Swings expresses his support with a love call.
Earlier, on May 29th, T.O.P posted a video containing footage of him making beats along with the caption “STILL MAKING MY ALBUMS.” This led to speculation that T.O.P might be releasing a solo album.
If T.O.P does release a new album this time, it would mark his return to solo activities, around 10 years after his release of “DOOM DADA” in 2013.
On the same day, as interest grew about T.O.P’s comeback, Swings mentioned the BIGBANG member during a live broadcast, saying, “I hope T.O.P would contact me even now. I’m a fan of his.” Meanwhile, in response to Swings’ love call, T.O.P replied with a screenshot of the scene and said, “OK, DM ME. I’M GONNA CALL U.”
Netizens who saw this interaction show explosive reactions, leaving comments such as, “Are the two finally going to meet?”, “Swings is a really cool guy,” “Looking forward to it,” and so on.
In the past, T.O.P caused controversy by posting a photo with scribbles all over Swings’ face on his Instagram story, even though they were not close. The reason behind T.O.P posting that photo was not revealed. However, some criticized T.O.P’s behavior as impolite.
Swings, who did not express any stance regarding the photo, gave a cool response when the incident resurfaced in 2020, saying, “T.O.P uploaded that photo about a year ago, but I wasn’t really upset about it, and personally, I like T.O.P. Let it go.”
The rapper also expressed concern by saying, “I’m worried that this incident might stir up negative public opinion about that friend again. Honestly, at that time, I was happy just because I appeared on T.O.P’s Instagram and it felt awesome”
